Going against the typical term ‘cat burglar,’ quite literally – a cat has been helping themselves to other people’s food from their homes.
Owner Alex Pike expressed his worry over his cat, Burrito, returning home with snacks and sweet treats that quite clearly weren’t in his right to take.
Alex describes his pet as the most ‘friendliest creature in the world’ completely unsuspecting and fully trusting as Burrito seemed to wander in with discarded pork pies and bits of bread.
What finally caught Alex’s attention was when Burrito trotted in with a notably large packet of Dreamies – a brand of treats specifically for cats. It was quite clear to Alex at this point that his beloved and bouncy 8-month-old pet was in fact helping themselves to content stored in people’s cupboards.
Alex humorously ‘grounded’ his pet animal for a day – but eventually forgave Burrito for his crimes. Feeling remorseful for the sake of his neighbours too, Alex made sure to post the mischievous, trouble-making misdeeds of his feline to serve as a reasonable explanation for why that pork pie has mysteriously vanished.
