Gloucestershire businessman Tracey Pope died suddenly on January 3rd, aged 58, after suffering from a heart attack. He was the operations and financial director at Bristol Road based Protrack Solutions Ltd “a multi-award winning, family-run business based in the heart of Gloucester, which specialises in off the shelf and bespoke tracking solutions.”
He was a beloved member of the local business community, he was known as a “gentle giant” and his brother and business partner Kevin Pope said “Tracey was a huge man with a heart of gold to match, always smiling and cheerful. I am absolutely broken without him, he was always there for me growing up, I always felt protected and invincible with him.” There has already been an outpouring of tributes since Tracey Pope’s death, offering condolences and support for his family.
Tracey Pope was not only a businessman but also a family man, he will be dearly missed by his wife, children and grandchildren. Though they have asked for no flowers but instead donations for Gloucester Feed the Hungry, honouring Pope’s charitable nature throughout his life.
His funeral will be held on February 3, at 11.30am, at Gloucester Crematorium, with a wake at Wotton Hall club in Hucclecote. A celebration of his life will be held at the Cross Keys in the city centre from 7pm.
