Cinderford Rugby hope to ‘do the double’ over Plymouth Albion this weekend despite the anticipated torrential conditions.
The two teams last met in September 22 where the Stags came out on top. It was Plymouth who were initially 21-0 up before Cinderford made an outstanding comeback and finished with a 41-28 victory over the Ocean City.
Cinderford’s line up somewhat varies this weekend as they restructure around the absence of full-back, Mike Wilcox. Center Morgan Adderly-Jones steps up to fill Wilcox’s boots, meaning usual replacement Will Baldwin is starting in the backs.
The forwards have also had a little reshuffle with top try scorer Nathan Taylor back in action, putting Sam Baker on the bench. Number 8 Harry Hone, as usual, will captain the team.

Cindy Chairman Nigel Wilce said: “We are looking to complete the ‘double’ over Plymouth Albion this Saturday after defeating them 41-28 at home back in September. They have improved since then due to the standard of their coaching, it will certainly be a tough one down there.”
Albion are currently under the authority of Ryan Lamb who is an ex-Gloucester player.
Gloucestershire born Lamb joined the Cherry in Whites during 2006 where he made his debut against Brive. The Fly-Half was dropped from Gloucester in 2009 before signing to London Irish.
Wilce also explains how the two teams have an unfortunate history of “always seeming to play each other when the weather is at it’s worst and it looks like we could be defending our ‘mud-wrestling!’ crown as well this weekend.”

If Cinderford steal the win they will remain in the top 5 of National League one, with the potential chance to move to fourth depending on the outcome of Rosslyn Park v Hull.
