Forest Green Rovers Women are travelling to the Sherborne Town Ladies at the weekend, in what is a battle between first and third.
Sherborne Town are five points behind the Gloucestershire side, but hold two games in hands, making this a crucial game for the second half of the season.
Coming off a goal last match, Forest Green’s top scorer Nynka Rucker will be hoping to score her 10th goal of the season on Sunday.
However, in terms of goal scorers, there are not many in better form than Becky Narramore as she has scored six in as many games for the Dorset-based team.
Although they haven’t played a competitive fixture since the beginning of December, while Forest Green Rovers had a 2-0 victory last weekend over Poole Town.
From the top of the South West Regional Women’s Football League Premier Division, to the top of the Gloucestershire County Women’s League Division One, as there is a clash between two undefeated teams.
Gloucester City Women, who are leading the way after a 7-0 victory over Dursley Town last time out, take on Bristol Rovers Women Development who are sat third in the table, a point behind the Tigers.
Gloucester City have scored 22 goals in six games, while Bristol Rovers have only conceded three – only one of those has come at Lockleaze Sports Centre, where this match is taking place.
Bitton Ladies are currently second in the table, tied on points with the Gas Girls development side, and also hold a game in hand over Gloucester.
Bitton are set to face Abbeymead Rovers, a team who has failed to pick up a point all season.
Abbeymead have not scored away yet and they have only managed the one successful strike at home, while at the same time, Bitton hold the joint-best defence in the league with the aforementioned Bristol Rovers.
This is shaping up to be one-sided game, as Bitton will be hoping for a draw in the first vs third clash, to go clear at the top.
In another tight affair in the table, Bishop’s Cleeve Ladies are hosting Cheltenham Saracens Ladies in a local derby.
Their grounds are just separated by just 3.3 miles and three points separates them in table, but the Mitres do hold two games in hands over the Saracens who sit one position above them in the table.
Both teams’ top scorers have four goals to their name so far this season, with Kelly Adams and Saffron O’Brien leading their team respectively.
Cleeve manager Chris Gough has provided his own preview to the Bishop’s Cleeve website here.
Dursley Town Ladies are taking on the Tuffley Rovers Ladies, with both sides sat next to each other in the league table, asDursley Town are currently seventh in the table, while Tuffley Rovers are eighth.
Tuffley Rovers’ solo win this season came away from home thanks to an 8-0 win over Abbeymead Rovers, meanwhile, Dursley have performed much better at home.
While there is a scheduled game between Bristol & West Ladies and Longwell Green Ladies, Longwell Green have given walkovers to their opponents for every game so far this season, whether that be cup or league, so there’s a strong possibility this game isn’t going to take place.
