Gloucester Rugby look to make it three consecutive wins against Leicester Tigers, in the same week the Champions Cup Round of 16 fixtures are announced

Gloucester Rugby welcome Leicester Tigers to Kingsholm this Saturday in the 13th round of Gallagher Premiership, the Cherry and Whites will be looking to make it three wins in three with previous wins against Worcester Warriors and Wasps in round 11 and 12 to take them off the bottom of the table for the first time in weeks.

Their opponents Leicester Tigers are currently three places higher in the table in 8th position, and will be looking for a win to take them into the top six if other results go their way.

Coach George Skivington got rather animated when talking about avenging his sides loss to Tigers in round 1 at the start of the season,

““From that point of view, it wasn’t a good day for us. That was probably as bad a start as we could have had. We all thought we were in a better position than we were and it’s a day that we would all sooner forget.

” I did not enjoy that day one tiny bit but it’s funny when you watch things back. It’s dead and buried if you like but it wasn’t a good day to look back on.”

In a week where the champions cup round of 16 fixtures were announced, , and another player extends their contract it seems like things are starting to take shape in the Skivington regime.

“A home tie is brilliant. We’ve had a bit of luck there obviously with two clubs getting it (a home draw). You’d always take a home game over an away game so we’ll discuss it as coaches and start thinking of preparations.”

The Cherry and Whites will welcome La Rochelle to Kingsholm on the 3rd of April.
