Starring in the UK’s biggest advent calendar, what better way to raise money?
Rugby players from both Gloucester and Gloucester-Hartpury, as well as Ed Slater, will appear in the calendar. It will be displayed on the front of the BiGDUG offices and the images will also be displayed on Christmas cards.
The calendar, which is in its fourth year, has previously been adorned with various Christmas animations as each day throughout December a new door is opened – making it a huge hit with local residents, with hundreds of social posts each festive season championing its appearance.
It’s all in effort to raise funds for Ed and his family, following his Motor Neurone Disease diagnosis.
A new door will open each day in December, showing the players getting in the Christmas spirit by decorating the tree, having snow ball fights and even having a tinsel tug-of-war. The calendar also shows Ed Slater as Father Christmas.
Ā£7 can get you 48 Christmas cards of the photos shown on the calendar. Each pack contains two of each player, including the likes of Jonny May, Adam Hastings and Lewis Ludlow. All proceeds will go to the fundraiser and to the Slater family, which has so far raised more than Ā£200,000 to help Ed and MND charities.. To buy the festive cards, and to donate, click here.
