Image of stag do suspect released as public urged to come forward and identify him

Police have issued CCTV images of a man they want to speak to about a mass brawl during a stag do in Cheltenham.

This is in relation to a serious incident which occurred on the evening of Saturday 13 November last year when a large brawl took place at Home and Botanic Nightclub on St George’s road in Cheltenham.

A group of 15 men from the Liverpool were visiting the Cheltenham racecourse on a stag do. As door staff were in the process of ejecting one the group from the nightclub, another member of the large group glassed a member of staff leaving him needing 16 stitches across his face and head.

A large disorder then broke out as the group dispersed onto the street. Police arrived at the scene and arrested part of the group however the suspected assailant had already left the scene.

Police made calls to the hotel the group were staying at but were unable to find the suspected offender.

Numerous inquiries have been made across Gloucestershire and Merseyside but now officers are asking the public to help identify the man pictured.
