Changes for the upcoming Formula 1 season

Last season the Formula 1 drivers and racing teams were introduced to the new format of the F1 Sprint Race or Sprint Qualifying to some and the upcoming 2022 season they’ll be updated on an even newer format .

This year we will see even more races throughout the year with the schedule being increased a record 23 races, last year there was only 22.

Another change to the system is to do with the actual race cars themselves, newly introduced regulations that will see a change in the cars overall aerodynamics. The change will see the reduction of ‘Dirty Air’ produced by cars from last season.

The aforementioned ‘Dirty Air’ made it harder for drivers to pass each other during races, the new build of the cars will see a simpler design for the front wings and an upgraded rear wing that’ll allow the aerodynamic wake up to be pushed up and over the trailing car.

Ultimately the F1 announced these changes will allow for cars to follow more closely increasing the opportunity for overtaking and wheel-to-wheel action. Also, it will hopefully allow for equal competition across the field and give teams a stronger chance of gaining podiums more frequently.
