Beast From the East Creeping Up on Cheltenham

Drivers in the UK have been warned of thickening fog, mostly covering the North- and South-West of England, as the Beast from the East could be bringing snow to the UK for Christmas.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for fog and mist, alerting motorists that it may create ‘difficult driving conditions’. The fog is predicted to ‘linger all day’ and bring along freezing temperatures of 6C to 8C, however, next week’s temperatures will drop even further to 0C in some parts of the country.

Several forecasts have suggested that, in some parts of the UK, we may have a White Christmas this year. Several weather experts are casting their memories back to 2018, when the ‘Beast from the East’ reared its cold, snowy head, as they predict it make be coming back round this Christmas.

Meteorologist Jim Dale, from British Weather Services, says that the cold weather over Russia has grown stronger and has begun to creep over. Numerous reports claim that the high pressure across Europe will begin to drag in winds from the west, which could reportedly extend the cold weather over the Christmas period.
