Chinese snooker player Yan Bingtao has been suspended from competing at the World Snooker tour due to an investigation into match fixing.
The 22-year-old became the youngest Masters Champion in 26 years last year, when he beat John Higgins 10-8 in the final. He was just 20 years old at the time, becoming the second youngest champion ever behind Ronnie O’Sullivan.
The former Champion was due to play at the English open today, on the first day of the tournament, but due to his suspension, will no longer compete.
