A woman in her 80s has had her handbag stolen from her after she was watched taking money from a cash machine.
After being seen taking money out of an ATM on Bristol road in Gloucester, the robber followed the woman to Aldi where she was going to do her shopping.
The thief was in a black BMW which he left as the woman arrived into the Aldi car park and snatched her handbag from her front passenger seat. The incident happened at around 1.15pm on Wednesday 14 September and enquiries have already begun to identify the attacker.
A member of the public has come forward after finding the handbag on Stroud Road and it was returned to the victim, but no money was found inside.
Investigating officers have now issued an appeal for anyone with information related to the incident to come forward and are also keen to hear from anyone living in the area of the incident with CCTV footage of the vehicle involved.
