University Esports teams have started competing again with the successful teams able to qualify for varsity where the teams compete for money.
The League of Legends team won two of their first two games against Derby and Birmingham, but suffered a defeat to Heriot-Watt to make a 2-1 record so far.
The side struggled during the early minutes in their third game, and couldn’t recover after falling behind in all three lanes.
The University’s Overwatch team only competed in NUEL, and won one game and lost the other.
In CSGO, the team also recorded one win and one defeat.
The Valorant team has been much improved since last season, averaging mostly Diamond and Immortal ranked players as opposed to last year’s gold standard.
The Esports season continues on the 1st November as they look to push closer to Varsity.
