The well-known pizza chain has decided to end their longstanding presence in Belgrave House, Imperial Square. The restaurant has sat among a selection of chains in the area for years, but it’s been decided that its time for a change.
The restaurant has always had a place in the heart of Gloucestershire’s pizza lovers, with successful locations in Gloucester and Cirencester as well.
The new location is said to be in the south-western area of the Brewery Quarter, replacing the Real China restaurant, which was forced to close due to the pandemic last year. The Brewery Quarter is well known for housing some of the most popular spots for a bite to eat while in town, so it seems natural that the renown pizza firm would want a piece of this pie.
Belgrave house is listed as grade II, meaning it has a fair amount of historical and architectural significance. This means changing it would come with heavy regulation, and it’s very unlikely we’d see it bulldozed. The house is known for its regal and preserved look.
