Gloucestershire girlies get TikTok ‘famous’

Two Gloucestershire girls have become overnight sensations on TikTok after posting satirical videos about the Conservative party. Nearly half a million viewers watched one of them perform a ‘Tory rap’.

Emily Hunt (@EmilyHunt39) and Daisy (@Dazzlemyfrazzlev2) both have risen to popularity after sharing videos making fun of their privilege.

@Dazzlefrazzlev2 and her 480K viewed video.

However, not all their viewers on Tiktok can work out whether the videos are ironic or just two private school girls being their authentic selves.

@Dazzlemyfrazzle is largely known for her ‘Tory rap’ where she raps in the stereotypical private school accent and seemingly gloats about her upbringing.

The 17- year old constantly disclaims her video’s message by telling her 15k followers that this is simply just a joke in the tags. Her video gained 480k views either way, showing the demand for satirical humour.

Even though fans are not sure whether she actually goes to Cheltenham Ladies College, she can be spotted in Cheltenham while making her videos.

This ‘Tory’ rapping began when YouTuber Homerton B released a remix of the popular song ‘American Boy’ by Estelle. Due to this, a trend was born where many private school students showed off their schools and houses while rapping along to the lyrics. Popular TikTokers such as @Woodymabott, @a1fiescs, and @unknowntoff have joined in on this.

Katie Hunt, who lives in Cheltenham, has 2k followers and 100k likes. She also presents the online persona of the lifestyle and attitude which is associated with private school life. She frequently posts about her father’s wealth and has gathered quite a lot of views doing so.

In a video where she jokingly shows the upper-middle-class items her father could not live without she managed to score a total of 18k views.

Although many TikTok users are unsure why these satirical ‘Tory’ girls are gaining attention, views seem to skyrocket whenever there is a mention of ‘daddy’s money’ and private school shenanigans.
