Gloucestershire Challenge Cup tie between Cheltenham Saracens and Brimscombe and Thrupp could fall victim to the weather

This evening’s Challenge Cup match between Cheltenham Saracens and Brimscombe and Thrupp at the Big Local Stadium is “in doubt” due to heavy rain.

A yellow weather warning for rain is in place throughout South West England until 1pm this afternoon and Saracens boss Ryan Betteridge confirmed the pitch is already waterlogged.

It’s one of two Gloucestershire Challenge Cup ties with Shortwood United also due to host Stonehouse Town.

A pitch inspection is due at 12pm to determine whether the surface is playable ahead of a 19:45 kick off.
