The 27-year-old has been linked with a move to his hometown team, Gloucester Rugby, in recent weeks and joins current Cherry and White pair Owen Williams and Ross Moriarty in the squad.
Now of Cardiff Blues, Cuthbert has been selected in the squad for the past four tournaments as Wales look to bring an end to England’s domination in the competition.
However, it remains to be seen if this move will materialise over January but it would certainly be a welcome addition to head coach Johan Ackermann’s squad.
