With Christmas fast-approaching, everyone has already started getting into the festive spirit.
There are lots of events taking place already both in and around Cheltenham and with Christmas activities taking a backseat last year, this year will be bigger and better than ever.
Belinda Hunt from Cheltenham BID, said that this year “there is something for everyone to get involved with.”

The Cheltenham Ice Rink
Thursday 18 November to Sunday 2 January 2022
The Cheltenham Ice Rink is opening one week today in the Imperial Gardens.
It is great fun for all ages, but make sure you book a slot to avoid missing out as it is limited capacity.
The skates are provided too, so all you have to do is put them on and set off.
And don’t worry about the weather as the ice rink is undercover!

Cheltenham Christmas Market
Saturday 20 November to Sunday 19 December 2021
For almost a whole month you are able to take a free stroll along the Promenade to browse through the Christmas stalls.
The market will host a whole range of stalls with different products to purchase, including a variety of festive food like cheeses and chocolates to more exotic selections such as crocodile burgers!
The Brewery Quarter’s Christmas Lights switch on party

There will be lots of entertainment such as live music from local performers, dance performances and an appearance from a special guest.
Demelsa, from Cheltenham Brewery Quarter, said that this year’s light witch-on will be about celebrating ‘local communities.’
Cheltenham town centre will be thriving with Christmas festivities, spirit and magical characters that will “help spread the Christmas magic” in preparation for the light switch-on!
Spectacle of Light at Sudeley Castle

For the sixth year, the Spectacle of Light will return to Sudeley Castle.
The grounds will be illuminated with vivid colours and as you walk around you will hear the gentle sounds of music which adds to the magical atmosphere.
Festive food will be available to you as you walk around The Spectacle of Light.
GWR Santa Experiences

Choose from two different Santa Experiences for long-lasting Christmas memories.
You can either ‘Ride with Santa’ and see him walking down the carriage aisles or travel on the ‘Santa Express’ to arrive at Santa’s Winter Wonderland at the other end.

The Suffolks Christmas Market, Cheltenham

The Suffolks Christmas Market will take place along Suffolk Parade to Montpellier Terrace.
The markets will host a whole range of Christmas activities such as carol singing, festive food, a fair and much much more!
Enchanted Light Trail at Adam Henson’s Cotswold Farm Park
Selected dates between Saturday 27 November – Friday 31 December 2021
The Farm Park will be transformed into a bursting atmosphere of light.
Illuminated by magical and vibrant lights, this trail will take you all around the park and will lead you back to an open area full of fire pits, festive shops and food stands.
This is a Christmas Experience you don’t want to miss out on!
