Johny May and Mark Atkinson return to the starting lineup for Gloucester after their Autumn Internationals campaign with England.
With many of Skivingtons regular starters returning from international duty, Gloucester will be hopeful they can get back to winning ways having lost out last time to Exeter Chiefs.
The starting lineup:
Having played against South Africa just under a week ago it was a shock to see Gloucesters Johny May back in the starting lineup. May had been expected to miss the clash as a rest period following on from his campaign. But his inclusion will no doubt please the traveling away fans.
The winger’s international teammate Mark Atinkinson had experienced his first-ever taste of life in the England camp this autumn and also slots back into the side.
The big inclusion will be the absence of Ben Morgan in at number eight for the away side. It is yet to be discovered why Morgan will miss this Friday’s game but his exclusion means Jack Clement comes into the team.
Local hero Ollie Thorley also makes a comeback as he starts in his first game since injuring his knee earlier in the season.
Skivington in his Thursday press conference had talked about the selection headaches that he had been facing ahead of picking a side with a number of younger players making a case for themselves during the Premiership cup games.
“Yeah, we have, and that’s a really good spot to be in. We’ve talked about it many times in the group we wanna pick on merit and we want the right people wearing the badge not just because of something you’ve done previously.
“We’re getting to the position where we are starting to have headaches over lots of positions and obviously, I’ll be really happy when one day, one to fifteen is a headache.”

Gloucester has had a far better start to the season than their opponents. Having made the final two years ago Wasps have struggled since to re-find the form they had previously under Director of Rugby Lee Blackett.
History is on the side of the travelers. Gloucester won both of these fixtures last season and look likely to repeat that was again. But despite their recent record, Skivington had plenty to say about the dangers of facing Wasps.
“I think they’ve done some really exciting stuff over the last couple of years obviously they got to the final the season before last and they are one of those teams that can change a game in a split second.
“They’ve got some quality players that can create things out of nowhere.
“It’s a really good setup and I expect it to be a really tough challenge up there.”
