Gloucester City will welcome a struggling Farsley Celtic side to the TigerTurf Stadium this Saturday in the Vanarama National League North with kick off scheduled for 3pm.
City head into the game on the back of an impressive 1-2 victory away at Alfreton Town on Saturday, courtesy of two goals from the inform Kieran Phillips who has now netted four in the last two games.
Newly appointed City boss Steven King will be hoping his side can get another victory in the club’s push for the playoff places this season.
Meanwhile, Farsely go into the game following a 0-3 defeat at home to mid-table Southport, who City made a valiant comeback against a fortnight ago in a game that finished 3-2 at TigerTurf.
Gloucester go into the game in sixth place compared to Farsley who travel to the Cotswold’s fourth from bottom.
Players to Watch
Gloucester’s Phillips will be looking to score in his third consecutive game this season as the Bristol-born centre-forward looks to continue his wonderful run of form since joining the club this summer.
Matt McClure will also be aiming to add to his tally of seven goals in 10 games so far for City this season.
Farsely’s Jimmy Spencer will no doubt be on Gloucester’s radar this weekend with the 30-year-old centre-forward the club’s current top goal scorer so far this campaign – contributing to 25%.
