A spectacular collapse from the West Indies has seen Scotland record a historic win in their opening match of the T20 World Cup in Hobart.
An unbeaten opening stand of 66* from George Munsey helped the Scots to a score of 160-5 in the opening innings, before the Windies lost seven wickets for 26 runs in a spectacular collapse, finishing with 118 all-out after 18.3 overs.
Mark Watt lead Scotland’s bowling figures, picking up three wickets for just 12 runs in his four overs, whilst Brad Wheal and Michael Leask picked up a pair of wickets each.
Nicholas Pooran (5), Shamrah Brooks (4), Rovman Powell (5) and Akeal Hossain (1) all fell for single figures in the middle order, with Jason Holder trying to hold the Windies’ innings together with a 38-run stand before being caught off Safyaan Sharif’s bowling.
