Four-time major winner Brooks Koepka won the latest LIV Golf event in Jeddah, while Cheltenham’s Paul Casey tied for fifth place.
Koepka beat fellow Smash GC member Peter Uihlein in a three-hole playoff, with the pair level at 12 under after 54 holes.
The American’s win also meant that he took home $4 million of the overall $25m purse. Uihlein won over $2.125m, Joaquin Niemann and Sergio Garcia both won $1.275 in third and Casey, Matthew Wolff and Dustin Johnson won $816,667 each.
Cheltenham-born Casey has played in four LIV Golf events this year, finishing 21st in Boston and Chicago, with a personal best result of third in Bangkok.
The 45-year-old ranks 15th in the individual standings (40 points) despite missing the events in London, Portland and Bedminster.
Casey’s team, Crushers GC, are in second place in the team standings, behind 4 Aces GC. The Englishman’s teammates are Bryson DeChambeau, Charles Lowell III and Anirban Lahiri.
