A former model Danielle Lloyd is travelling over to Cyprus to choose the gender of her baby because the treatment is illegal in the UK.
She defends herself to the BBC 5 presenter Emma Barnett against the public, saying “if I’m able to do it, why should I feel like I can’t?” She continues, “It’s just about having that mix, just bringing up a little girl.”
Lloyd opened up about her desire to have a girl even if her daughter isn’t ‘girly’ she just wants a ‘mini me’.
This procedure isn’t legal in the UK, so patients have been sent to the US and Cyprus and have to spend up to $15,000 to have the treatment done.
Park Life News posted a poll on Twitter asking what everyone’s opinion is of this treatment. Most people who responded to this poll didn’t like the idea of a designer baby and some have never really even thought about the idea.
Would you consider choosing your child’s gender if you had the chance? #health #baby #gender #news
