Non-essential stores will be opening from the 2nd of December and with Christmas round the corner, it might be worth your while popping into the vintage and second hand shops around Cheltenham. So which hidden gems is Cheltenham keeping secret?
Willow Hilson Vintage- Located on Suffolk Parade, this store sells high end couture, perfect for Christmas parties. Owner Willow Hilson says, to prepare for the Christmas rush, but they are keeping the Covid restrictions of only 2 customers in store at once. You don’t worry they also have an online shop, which is easy on the eyes and simple to navigate. She said her store can give you, ‘a Christmas gift you can’t find anywhere else’, and that she has been prepping her Christmas collection all year. All her pieces are one of a kind so pop down there before that perfect dress is sold. You can have a browse at- https://willowhilson.com
Browsers- One of my personal favourites, located near the high street at Cambray Place, Browsers has been serving customers for over 20 years and has a wide range of pre-loved, unisex clothing just waiting to be snatched up. It is a cute little shop which sits above the record store Vinyl Vault, so why not make two trips in one. Browsers sells on trend clothing such as: corsets, waistcoats, knee length boots and blazers and at affordable prices it is hard not to find a bargain and a unique item.
Malone’s Vintage- A cute and quaint wonderland of a store, which can be found on Royal Well Road. Malone’s sells all things from clothes, accessories, furniture and bags. They also have an amazing menswear section which is a rare find in vintage and secondhand shops. If you want to avoid the Christmas rush on the high street, then no worries because Malone’s also have an online store on Etsy and their own website- https://www.malonesvintage.co.uk/
Pink Vintage- Its hard to believe this place is ‘hidden’ as it is that gorgeous baby pink boutique on Montpellier Street. Selling mostly antique home-ware, and artisan cakes! This store has provided a helpful hand to the community by selling coffees out of the window during lock down. Pop down on the 2nd of December to say thank you and have a look round for the perfect gift.
