Cheltenham Town Ladies are set to face off against Exeter this Sunday in what could be a season defining game this Sunday.
The Robins need just two wins to secure the title and promotion to the Southern Premier Division.
They are set to face off against Exeter at home on Sunday, where a win would put them just three points from the title.
Cheltenham are the set for a final day crunch match against Chesham who currently sit in fourth place in the league.
Last time out, Cheltenham got unlucky in a 1-1 draw with Southampton Women’s, with star striker Lacey-Jai Leggett scoring their only goal of the game before Southampton grabbed a last grasp leveller at the death.
The result was a disappointing one that striker Jade Grove admitted is one they are looking to build off.
“Games like that where we don’t actually perform means we have to make sure were not complacent. We’ve come back in training this week and have been training hard,” said Grove.
Grove herself has just recovered from an ankle injury and could prove to be key for Cheltenham.
This season she has scored eight goals in 16 league appearances for the Robins, making her the clubs second top goal scorer despite having eight weeks out.
“I’m feeling good. I’ve done a lot of work since being injured in rehab. I’m back strong with my ankle, I just need to get the fitness and sharpness back,” she admitted.
“I went over on it in a game turning, its just one of those ones that always happen during a game, just an unlucky one.”
Suspense is building for the Robins who are looking to match their male counterparts in a title win that would see them get promoted to the third tier.
