Celebrating World Bee Day at ‘Harry’s Honey’ Bee Farm

As World Bee Day approaches on the 20th of May, there isn’t a better time to shine a light on the incredible work that is happening at Harry’s Honey Bee Farm, than now.

Nestled in the countryside of Cleeve Hill, the farm has become an important place not just for the bees, but for the local wildlife community and upcoming beekeepers that Harry and Lorraine (the owners of ‘Harry’s Honey’) are training.

Bees are responsible for pollinating around a third of the food we eat, making them one of the most important species on the planet.

At Harry’s Honey Bee Farm, caring for these tiny pollinators is more than just producing honey – it’s focus is creating biodiversity and educating future generations on growing a flourishing ecosystem.

“I love it because it’s fantastically interesting – like a mix of carpentry, biology and art. You are outside in the fresh air with nature. You can come after a stressful week at work, and leave feeling totally relaxed. It’s lovely,” says Harry.

The farm is dedicated to supporting and breeding thriving bee colonies throughout the seasons. Visitors and customers can enjoy locally produced honey while learning about the fascinating world of beekeeping and the challenges bees face today, including habitat loss and climate change.

World Bee Day is a time to inspire everybody to ensure that our ecosystem is flourishing, and appreciate the bees and what they do.

Harry’s Honey Bee Farm continues to promote this message.
