Aston Villa face Leicester City after near defeat to Manchester City

Steven Gerrard’s Aston Villa encounter Leicester City in the Premier League where Gerrard looks to make it three wins out of four.

TEAM NEWS:

Gerrard changes his back four that started at Man City last week, that sees Tyrone Mings captain the side this evening and Ashley Young replacing Matt Target at left back.

David Luiz makes his return to the starting XI after suffering a groin injury last season, alongside the Villains player of the month Marvellous Nakamba in the centre of the park.

Academy graduate Jacob Ramsey also starts in the midfield with John Mcguinn and Emi Buendia.

Ollie Watkins has made an impressive start under Gerrard so far, scoring two goals in three games. The English Striker will look to get on the scoresheet again whilst playing as a lone striker.

Villa also have a lot of options to come off the bench with; Sanson, Steer, Tuanzebe, El-Ghazi, Hause, Philogene-Bidace, Chukwuqmeka, Davis and Iroegbunam.

Villa go into this fixture being the favourites as Leicester failed to pick up a win away at Southampton earlier on this month.

Both teams are looking to fight for a Europa League spot next season, with both teams looking to pick up valuable points.

Gerrard will look to carry on his impressive start at the club with another win at home and another three points. If successful, Villa can go ahead Leicester in the table on goal different tonight.
