It’s official! The 2022/23 NBA season is nearly upon us with the opening game on Tuesday evening which will see last years finalists the Boston Celtics welcome Philadelphia 76’s to TD Garden in what is set up to be a cracker of a matchup.
Current champions Golden State Warriors are also in action following the Boston/76ers game where they will face LeBron James and his Los Angeles Lakers side at the Chase Center.
It’s safe to say the Celtics are one of the top favourites to lift the NBA championship this year after coming so close last season. They lost to Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors, in a six-game series, who lifted their fourth major title in eight years.
The 76ers will be hoping talisman James Harden can put on a show in Boston after helping his side get to the NBA playoffs last year which they subsequently went on to lose 4-2 to Miami Heat.
Wednesday night is when the majority of the first round ties will take place – the ones to watch being Miami Heat’s clash with Chicago Bulls and Pheonix Suns against the Dallas Mavericks.
