Red Bull have claimed their first Constructors Championship since 2013 after Max Verstappen won from second on the grid in Austin on Sunday evening.
The Dutch driver has already won the drivers championship this season, however, his win sealed the constructors and levelled Michael Schumacher and Sebastian Vettel winning thirteen races in a single season.
Sergio Perez came home in fourth place to secure 12 points for Red Bull, putting an end to the dominance that Mercedes have shown in recent years.
Carlos Sainz had started from pole position in the race but a spin at the first corner after a collision with George Russell meant he was forced to retire.
Elsewhere in the race, Fernando Alonso received a retrospective 30-second time penalty for completing the race with an unsafe car following his collision with Aston Martin driver Lance Stroll, meaning he dropped from seventh place to 15th, pushing teammate Esteban Ocon into the points.
Valterri Bottas also failed to complete the race, running off the track and into the gravel, to cause the first safety car in Austin.
F1 moves to Mexico next week for the 20th race of the season.
