Wolves sacked head coach Bruno Lage on Sunday after a 2-0 defeat to West Ham left them 18th in the Premier League table.
Lage’s side won just one of their opening eight league games, a 1-0 victory over Southampton, as well as three draws.
Wolves currently hold the worst goal scoring record in the league, netting only three times – Daniel Podence (2) and a trademark Ruben Neves screamer.
Their dismal start to the 2022-23 season followed a poor end to the previous campaign, where the Midlands club failed to win any of their last seven games in the Premier League.

Lage spent £123 million on five arrivals this summer, Matheus Nunes (£40.50m), Gonçalo Guedes (£29.34m), Nathan Collins (£21.87m), Sasa Kalajdzic (£16.20m) and Hee-chan Hwang (£15.03m), but the board have not seen a return on their investment.
”Bruno is an excellent coach, a hardworking and dedicated manager, and a warm, wise and honest man,” chairman Jeff Shi said in the club’s statement.
”He and his staff have been a pleasure to work with throughout their time at Wolves, so it is with much sadness that we have had to make what has been a difficult decision.
”I honestly have no doubts about Bruno’s ability, and I’m sure he will succeed elsewhere, however the team’s form and performances over the last few months mean that we have no choice but to act.
