The UFC will continue it’s hectic schedule tomorrow night in it’s third stint on Fight Island in Abu Dhabi.
Event headliners Michael Chiesa and Neil Magny will clash in the main event, with both men making the welterweight limit of 171 pounds earlier today.
Chiesa enters fight week with the momentum of a three-fight win streak behind him, with victories over Carlos Condit, Diego Sanchez and former lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos confirming ‘The Maverick’ well and truly belongs in his new weight class.
But his opponent has three consecutive victories of his own, with Magny outpointing Li Jingliang, Anthony Rocco Martin and former UFC champion Robbie Lawler.
A win for either man would earn them a shot at a top-five contender that could et them on the path of a future title shot.
Co-main eventers Warlley Alves and Mounir Lazzez also made their welterweight limits.
On a more local note England’s own Tom Breese will headline the preliminary card with his toughest fight to date, taking on the experienced Russian Omari Akhmedov.
In his last outing in October Breese made quick work of KB Bhullar with a technical knockout first round victory, and will be hoping to keep his momentum rolling.
