Food is what most people would say is the main part of their Christmas season, with some deciding to go out for a ‘pre-Christmas’ meal. Who can blame them – doesn’t it always taste better when you don’t cook it or have to clean up yourself? Here’s the top 3 places in Cheltenham for you to go!
- Toby Carvery – Shurdington Road
A popular family favourite would be Toby Carvery! On Shurdington Road, so just on the outskirts of Cheltenham, it’s accessible by a short journey on the number 10 bus or a straightforward drive. With a fair portion of meat to balance you with as many roasties as you could possibly eat and beef gravy – your mouth waters even just thinking about it! And if you’re a vegetarian, don’t fear! There’s options for you with a popular favourite being the vegan toad in a hole!
2. Prezzo – Promenade
Do you want to get away from the traditional roast? Why not try this popular Italian restaurant which do a Christmas set menu for a great price! It’s family friendly with a kids menu and excellent service, it’s a great place to go for your food! It is a bit more pricey than a carvery but you do get your moneys worth with large portions and food made by the best chefs. It’s a great place to go too if you have allergies as they’re very hot on their feet, preventing any cross-contamination issues at all costs.
3. Côte Brasserier – Montpellier Gardens
At the far end of town at Montpellier gardens, if you have a French preference, surely Christmas is the best time to splash out slightly go to Côte? It’s the perfect place to go on a date night with significant other and is definitely less of a family venue than the others. It’s known for its delicious French onion soup, causing all mouths to water.
