Stonehouse woman killed in A417 crash

A 39-year-old woman from the Stonehouse area was killed in a crash on the A417 at Crickley Hill yesterday afternoon.

Police in Gloucestershire are continuing to investigate the fatal collision which happened yesterday afternoon just before 2.55pm. The collision was between a black Nissan Qashqai and a silver Peugeot 206, driven by the woman.

The driver of the Nissan, a man, was treated by ambulance crews at the scene but no details of his injuries are available.

Next of kin has been informed.

The road was closed for several hours while police investigated yesterday, but has since been closed following another crash this morning.

It’s not the first time there’s been a crash on the A417 either:

Officers would like to hear from witnesses of the incident, who saw either of the vehicles before the collision occurred.

Anyone with any information is to call Gloucestershire Constabulary on 101 or email 101@gloucestershire.police.uk quoting incident 240 of 28 February.
