This week Spotify has introduced their annual ‘Wrapped’ – a personalised summary of your year on Spotify. ‘Wrapped’ takes your listening history and makes an overview of it which you can share online. It shows your 5 top artists, 5 top songs, your total listening time and your top genre.
If you can’t see ‘Your 2020 Wrapped’ on your home page, then you could also search for it.
Many have taken to social media to share their results with the hashtag #2020Wrapped.

Spotify revealed that the most-streamed artist of 2020 is Bad Bunny. His music is often defined as Latin trap and reggaeton. Whereas the most played song of 2020 is ‘Blinding Lights’ by The Weeknd. The top female artist is Billie Eilish for the second year in a row.
The music streaming site also created a playlist called ‘Your top songs 2020’. This features 100 of the top songs for this year.
Whilst many enjoy this at the end of the year and are keen to share their year of listening, some are embarrassed by their listening history.

And others dread this time of year where ‘Spotify Wrapped’ is all they seem to see on social media.
Nobody cares about your Spotify wrapped?

But despite this, it’s nice to reflect and compare your music taste development from previous years!
