Manu Tuilagi will miss England’s clash with Wales at Twickenham after sustaining a hamstring injury in training, whilst Gloucester’s Louis Rees-Zammit has been dropped by Wales.
Tuilagi’s replacement in the England starting team on Saturday will be confirmed on the day, with Joe Marchant recalled to the squad.
Courtney Lawes will resume captaincy duties for England after recovering from an inner ear issue, taking over from Tom Curry.
Meanwhile, Rees-Zammit has been dropped in favour of Josh Adams as the starting wing for Wales, with Taulupe Faletau returning to the back row, replacing Jac Morgan.
Both England and Wales have won one game and lost one game so far in this campaign, with France the only team that are an unbeaten so far, after seeing off both Italy and Ireland.
Scotland will be hoping to change that status as they host Les Bleus at BT Murrayfield on Saturday, looking to their opening round win over England as inspiration.
Glasgow flanker Rory Darge will make his first start for the Scots, whilst Zander Fagerson will start at tight-head prop ahead of WP Nel, who drops to the bench.
Ireland have heavily rotated ahead of their match against perennial wooden-spoon contenders Italy, but there’s also a welcome return to the bench for Johnny Sexton, who declared himself fit after a hamstring issue.
23-year-old Michael Lowry will make his debut at full back, replacing Hugo Keenan.
