More worries for Chelsea as Graham Potter reveals Christian Pulisic’s injury extent

Chelsea manager Graham Potter has confirmed Christian Pulisic is ruled out with injury for at least two months.

The American forward was forced to be subbed off due to a knee injury in Chelsea’s 1-0 Premier League defeat to Manchester City earlier in the week after feeling the full force of a John Stones tackle.

This has caused more problems for Chelsea as Pulisic’s injury now makes 10 first team players ruled out with injury and unavailable for selection.

Names that are amongst that list include key players such as Reece James, N’Golo Kante, Ben Chilwell, Wesley Fofana, Armando Broja and Raheem Sterling.

In Potters recent press conference, the Blues manager gave updates on a few of the injured players and when they are likely to return.

Potter said: ” Reece was out on the grass today, not training with the team but training on his own. N’Golo’s had his first couple of days out training on his own as well, although he has still got a long, long way to go before he is back fully.

‘We think Raheem will be out for less time than Christian. We’re still evaluating the actual extent of it, but hopefully it will be less than that.’

‘So it felt a bit more positive, obviously, to see those guys out there training and it gives people a bit of a lift.’

Chelsea has also confirmed the signing of Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix on loan today to bolster the Blues front line.

Felix will join Chelsea on loan for the rest of the season, paying the Spanish club £11 million and cover his wages.
