Paul Casey has struggled in the opening round of the WGC-Mexico Championship carding a two-over-par 73.
40-year-old Casey was level-par following his opening nine holes. However, four bogeys on the back nine has left him near the back of the field.
With three rounds still to go, Casey will be hopeful of a strong finish as he continues with his aim of a Ryder Cup spot – with the event taking place later this year in Paris.
After a disappointing showing in the recent Genesis Open, Casey will be desparate to get back to winning ways. Currently sitting a 17th in the world rankings Casey will need a strong finish to this weekends event.
