Gloucester Rugby name team for Saturday’s visit to London Irish

George Skivington has released his match-day squad for Saturday’s trip to London Irish in Round 8 of the Gallagher Premiership.

Jason Woodward starts at fullback, with Ollie Thorley and Santiago Carreras on the wings, in what is an unchanged back three.

Carreras has succesfully passed the return to play protocols after his collision with George Furbank.

Mark Atkinson starts at 12, linking up with Harry Trinder who returns at outside centre.

Billy Twelvetrees replaces the injured Lloyd Evans at the ten, with halfback Willi Heinz making his second start since returning from injury.

Matias Alemanno and Alex Craig are at lock behind the forwards Jamal Ford-Robinson, Ciaran Knight and Henry Walker.

Jordy Reid is at blindside flanker, with Ruan Ackermann at the eight alongside captain Lewis Ludlow, in an unchanged backrow.

Several players are on Six Nations duty with Jonny May starting for England, Chris Harris with Scotland, Stephen Varney with Italy and Louis Rees-Zammit in the Wales team.
