South African racing driver Lance Woolridge impressed on his Veloce Racing debut at Jurassic X Prix in Dorset and earned a permanent position on the starting line-up.
The 30-year-old won the South African Cross County Series in 2018 and 2019, and is hoping to bring his off-road knowledge to the new sport.
Woolridge is excited for his new position: “This is a great opportunity to continue with the team after a really promising race in Dorset at the end of last season.”
“Veloce Racing is a great team with a really dedicated group of people behind the scenes so I’m happy to be working with them again.”
Extreme E is an international off-road competition created in 2021 using electric-powered vehicles.
Veloce Racing failed to make it into the final in the first season, and Lance Woolridge and partner Christine Giampaoli Zonca will look to push forward in the second season.
