England XV named to face South Africa with Marchant and Blamire handed starts

Gloucester’s Jonny May has kept his place in the England side as they face World Champions South Africa on Saturday.

Joe Marchant is recalled onto the wing as Manu Tuilagi moves back to inside centre, while Newcastle hooker Jamie Blamire gets a start in place of the injured Jamie George.

Eddie Jones had called up Gloucester Prop Harry Elrington to the training squad but he has not made the matchday 23 as Sale’s Bevan Rodd remains in the starting line-up and Harlequins’ Joe Marler is brought on to the bench.

Saturday will mark the first time that England have faced the Springboks since their World Cup final defeat in Yokohama in November 2019.

England will look to continue their 100% winning record this autumn following victories against Tonga and Australia.
