Europe’s largest sports retailer has finally arrived in Cheltenham. After a rocky ride, the sports shop has finally opened its doors. The shop opened today at 12pm and will be open from 9am-8pm Monday to Thursday and 10am-4pm on Sundays.
The company offers a wide variety of clothing, equipment and sporting advice across 70 different sports. The new location provides multiple pieces of sports equipment which can be tested in store.
One of Decathlon’s managers, said that during the process of opening the store they have “had a few complications; things such as construction have been difficult”.
The opening of the store has been under development for the last year. It’s located on the site of the old BHS in the south end of the Regent Arcade.
This follows the recent opening of the ‘luxury’ cinema complex, Tivoli. The new sports shop has opened next door to the cinema.
Decathlon has already opened its click & collect for orders to be picked up by anybody preparing themselves for some winter fitness.
