Wednesday night’s Gloucestershire derby between Slimbridge and Cinderford has been postponed due to poor weather conditions and the ground not ready to be played on.
The game was at Slimbridge ground at the Thornhill Park stadium at 19:45. Both sides currently sit in 16th and 19th looking to get points to move away from the relegation zone.
🚨Following a pitch inspection, this evening’s @SouthernLeague1 fixture against @Cinderford_Town has been called off.

Cinderford’s last game was a 1-0 victory against Bideford with the goal coming from Ben Brooks.
On the other hand, Slimbridge’s last match was against Bristol Manor Farm where they managed to secure an important three points winning the match 3-0.
Both sides will be disappointed not to be playing the derby but will look onto their next games as Slimbridge face 9th place Westbury United and Cinderford go onto play 13th place Melksham Town who are only four points ahead in the table.
