Antonio Conte questions Tottenham Hotspur future after 1-0 defeat to Burnley

Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte has bizarrely questioned his own future in North London after his side fell to a 1-0 defeat against Burnley.

Conte’s side followed up last weekend’s impressive win against league leaders Manchester City with a loss to Sean Dyche’s relegation strugglers at Turf Moor last night.

The defeat was Spurs’ fourth in five league games and they’ve now won just three times in the league this calendar year.

The former Chelsea boss had success with the Blues a couple of years ago, but he hasn’t been able to recreate that same formula this time around in the capital.

The 52-year-old only joined the club in November replacing Nuno Espirito Santo, but his tenure already appears to be coming to an abrupt end.

Speaking to the media after the game Conte Said: “For sure we have to speak and have a good conversation with the club and try to find the best solution.

“If the problem is that in this moment we are not getting the results and the problem is the coach, I’m ready to go, no problem.

“If this is the solution to improve the situation, I’m ready to go because I want to help it.”

The Italian manager sincerely apologised to the Tottenham fans last night as he repeatedly mentioned his “honest” nature with his side in this precarious problem.

But how long will the Spurs faithful stay on Conte’s side before for the second time the season, they show their discontent and things turn sour in N17.

Next for Spurs is a trip to Elland Road to face Leeds United and you can’t help but feel now that anything other than three points could cost Conte his job, whether that be a club decision or his own.
