Artists and bands from Gloucestershire and when they’ll perform next

Gloucestershire has introduced us to many talented bands and artists; many of them have experienced success during their career. 

They have gone on live tours and have inspired many people to pick up an instrument and perform. 

Here are some bands and singers from the county that will be on tour and when and where they will play.

Jaz Coleman and the Killing Joke 

The Cheltenham born lead singer of the Killing Joke are about to go on a tour named ‘Honour the Fire Tour’. 

Next year, the group are planning to perform at O2 venues in Bristol on the 31st of March and in Birmingham on the 2nd of April. 

Their most successful album is called ‘Night Time’ and reached #11 in the UK 1985. 

Lorraine Bowen 

From Cheltenham, Lorraine Bowen has been performing since 1990.  

The comedian is set to perform her music in Brighton next year on the 26th of March at the Ironworks Studio. 

She made her big break on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ in 2015, when she was awarded the golden buzzer after performing a song about cooking crumble. 

Inkubus Sukkubus 

The Cheltenham based gothic rock group have been jamming since 1989. 

Their next live concert will be at the Met Lounge & Ballroom in Whitby on the 4th of December this year. 

Recently, they released their latest album named ‘The Way of the Witch’. 

Tom Smith and the Editors 

Born in Northampton, Tom Smith was raised and taught in Stroud.  

He would later become the main vocalist for the Editors and would experience success with six top 10 albums in the UK since 2002. 

Their next concert in the UK will be set in Port Talbot, Wales, at the In It Together festival in 2022 from the 3rd to 5th June. 

Spunge 

Ska made a comeback in the 90s and the Tewkesbury based ska-punk band have been performing since 1997. 

They will be playing a few concerts in the UK. The closest venue this year will be at the Robin 2 in Wolverhampton on the 9th of December. 

In 2002, their song ‘Jump on Demand’ charted at #39 in the UK singles charts. It’s their most famous song the band has recorded. 

Nathan Sykes 

From boy-band The Wanted, Nathan Sykes was born in Gloucester. He recently reunited with others from the band and are set to embark on a tour around the UK next year. 

The closest venue they will perform are located at the Motorpoint in Cardiff on the 9th of March and at Utilita Arena in Birmingham on the 12th of March. 

In 2004, he sung for Great Britain in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. He helped the country finished 3rd out of 18 teams.
