‘Escape Hunt’, a new escape room experience is set to open before the end of the year in The Brewery Quarter, Cheltenham. This will be the company’s twelfth venue in the UK.
The idea of the escape rooms is to get an experience which is as close as possible to ‘starring in a brilliantly plotted movie’. You have to work together with your teammates to solve puzzles which will help you escape – but the clock will be ticking.
Each escape experience is themed. It has been advertised that the themes coming to Cheltenham are based on ‘Doctor Who’ and ‘Alice in Wonderland’.
In the ‘Doctor Who: Worlds collide’ experience, you and your team will play as the Doctor’s friends. You will have to investigate an ‘incident that has caused a tear in the fabric of space and time’, all before the evil Cybermen take advantage. Whereas in the ‘Alice in Puzzleland‘ experience, you and your team become Alice. In this scenario you must ‘return the red Queen’s tarts or its off with the Mad Hatter’s head’. Both escape rooms give you an hour to complete them.
Whats more is that it is likely they will serve refreshments for you to enjoy after your game, as other venues have them.

We took part in the Alice in wonderland themed escape room and it was great! The game masters are very good at keeping in character which really helps the experience! Altogether a great day out and would highly recommend!
