Following a bizarre YouTube video Madonna has announced that she will be doing a worldwide tour. In a truth or dare video with Jack Black, Lil Wayne, Amy Schumer and other celebrities, the truth or dare question is asked around a table to each person there with the last ‘dare’ from Amy Schumer to Madonna being “I dare you to do a world tour and play your greatest mother***king hits”.
Michigan born Madonna takes her time to give an answer asking the other celebrities if it would be possible to sing all the songs over the last four decades and whether people would come. Amy Schumer sings both Madonna classics, La Isla Bonita and Open Your Heart to hype up Madonna and just after the rendition of La Isla Bonita Madonna replies “f**k yeah”.
This will be the first Madonna tour since Madame X which had to end in March of 2020 due to a recurring knee problem Madonna had, as well as the spread of Covid-19. Fans will be highly anticipating this tour as this will be the singer’s biggest tour ever as she will sing all the songs through the four decades of her music. Madonna will be going to 12 different countries over 4 and a half months including England, USA, Germany and more. This also may be the 64-year-olds last concert because of how big it is.
Tickets for the concert in the O2 went on presale and sold in out almost immediately. The tickets started from £47.55 with fees but go up to £432.25. There was also a VIP package £729.75 which went up to £1,307.75 but they also sold out on the first day of pre-sale. Live Nation will be running their own presale on the 19th of January which fans can sign up for here by clicking the register button. After tomorrow tickets will only be available through general sale which will no doubt run out very quickly.
