This comes ahead of events such as the FA Cup final, UEFA Champions League final, Six Nations and the Cricket World Cup. Who fill out the rest of the top five.
Perhaps surprisingly the Rugby World Cup failed to place on their poll as well as the Women’s football world cup also not getting a nod.
However people more similar to us in age, have also voted for the NBA Finals and the Superbowl as a events that are headlining 2023.
But that’s just data, what about the real people on the course, what are they looking forward to. We went around the news room to find out.
A wide range of sports come out of our course, although one took the cake above the rest. As the Rugby World Cup seemed to be on most people’s watch list.
The Rugby World Cup is set to start on September 8th and run through the 28th of October, as South Africa look to defend their title, and as home side France will want to take the top prize after going undefeated in 2022.
The exciting event is sure to draw the eyes of million when it takes.
And in a perhaps surprising to some result, Wimbledon isn’t anticipated by our journalists at all. Whether this be a lack of tennis fan, or the fact that it’s on every year, compared to the World Cup taking place every four years.
