David Beckham’s son Romeo Beckham debuted for Brentford B against Erith & Belvedere FC on Tuesday after joining on loan from Inter Miami II.
Beckham came on as a substitute as the Bees were losing 2-1, Brentford B were able to make a comeback to win 3-2 in the London Senior Cup. He showed glimpses of his dad with a great cross from the right wing and some good corners.
The player was able to bring in a club record crowd of 554 fans which included his dad, David Beckham. Although he didn’t stay long when the crowd started to grow.
Brentford B boss Neil MacFarlane mentioned Beckham’s impact in his post match interview.
“Romeo really drove us forward in the wing-back position. He created some really good moments for us with some terrific deliveries.”
“He had an opportunity to score as well and I was thrilled with him and the group in general for keeping on the front foot.” (BBC Sport)
Brentford B’s next game is against Aston Villa in the Premier League Cup.
