UK keep NATO trust with other members to help Ukraine

The UK are providing help to Ukraine amid Russia’s “increasingly threatening behaviour.”

The UK, alongside NATO members US, Canada and Germany, are sending weapons to Ukraine for “self-defence” against a potential upcoming invasion from Russia. Ukrainian ambassador to the UK, Vadym Prystaiko, said, because Ukraine aren’t in NATO, “we wanted to be in NATO…we are facing the biggest army in Europe by ourselves.”

Defence secretary Ben Wallace said the UK will supply Ukraine with short-range anti-tank missiles after Russia move their troops around the Ukrainian border.

The defence secretary also said “the UK and our nordic partners are united in our approach to upholding European security. My discussions this week have been directly about deepening bilateral relations, shared security and the consequences of Russian aggression towards Ukraine.”
