Stroud MP Siobhan Baillie has just announced she is pregnant with her second child after midwifery debate.
The soon to be mother of two has already been parenting for nearly two years, after giving birth to a baby girl in May 2020, and is due for her second this summer.
She took to Instagram after the debate to share the news she is expecting, posting “We are super excited and feel blessed. God willing – there will be a summer baby for GiGi to prod and poke and play with”
She sneakily slipped the news in her post after speaking about the debate, saying “I naturally got some special mentions in for Stroud @stroudmaternity and Gloucestershire @grh.maternityward teams – not least as they are looking after me once again with baby #2 on the way” while posing with her hands placed on her stomach, hinting at her pregnancy.
The 40 year old was elected as MP for Stroud in 2019, and campaigned while pregnant with her first child. She’s campaigned for financial support for midwives and strongly supports their community.
