The Frog and Fiddle are hosting the first drag show in Cheltenham since 2012.
Oh My Drag! Presents… Good vs. Evil is a showcase of the favourite local drag queens displaying their good or evil personas in a full-length event.
With performances from the extravagant Isabell End, Luna Lakes, Marla B.Zarre and special guest Paul Aleksandr, the night is going to be really popular.
Olly Roylance, events manager at the pub, said: “We’re really looking forward to the event, drag has seen a real renaissance in popularity lately – not just because of the success of shows like Drag Race, but also the general openness and acceptance of all things LGBTQ+.
“We’ve been seeing a lot of interest for the event ahead of time, and if it doesn’t sell out either in advance or on the door I’ll be amazed!”
The host of the show, Misty Monique, has performed both locally and around the UK for years. She is also the host of Gloucestershire’s Drag Wars, which is now in its fourth year.
She said: “Everyone performing is very different in style and that’s why I asked them to join me. You will see everything from pure British camp to new-school, and more!”
The event is going to happen on Saturday, April 14. Doors open at 8 pm, and the show is expected to attract a big audience.
